Since 2005, there have been no major bomb attacks in Indonesia, but many analyst consider it still at risk.
The local spokeman of Jemaah Islamiah said the Bali bombing were intended to drive foreigners away from Indonesia as part of a drive to make Indonesia, the most populous Muslim country part of a larger Islamic caliphate just like in the old days.
Due to the executions,Australia immediately issued a travel advisory for citizens going to Bali and Indonesia .The Foreign Minister Stephen Smith warned of possible reprisals by Jemaah Islamiah.
However another analyst said that some people in Indonesian society regards them as martyrs, while the whole looks askance at such aborration. Some claim s that the JI ability to convert and train new recruits to their causes and their acts are much reduced. The authorities in Indonesia are now very aware of the militants within.
